Hennessy Artistry presents The Art of Blending at Uniun

  • WHEN

On Thursday November 21st, UNIUN Nightclub in downtown Toronto hosted the next instalment of the Hennessy Artistry Series. The evening was defined by our theme “The Art of Blending”. Classic tracks mingled with fresh beats. World music was mixed it up with local DJs. And Hennessy blended perfectly with all.

Between DJ DLUX and T-Rexxx, Glenn Lewis infused the room with a sexy R&B vibe. Lewis describes performing as the greatest feeling in the world. Live shows give the singer the opportunity to connect with people via his “baby-making music”.

Another Toronto talent, Tre Mission, also had the opportunity to show off his unique GRIME-inspired sound. Not everyone is familiar with his 140 bpm Electronic style and he says he knows after the first song whether the crowd is into it. But the intimate, high-energy crowd at UNIUN gave Tre Mission no cause for complaint. Love and appreciation were freely given all night long. One of the best hip-hop producers of all time, Brooklyn-based DJ Premier helped anchor the evening. His set oozed an old school 80s vibe and kept the energy high. And when the crowd thought the night couldn’t get any better, co-headliner and fellow music legend DJ Jazzy Jeff took to stage to perform the closing set of yet another unforgettable Hennessy Artistry event.
