The tender age of seven: that was when Rover was given his first guitar. From that day forward, music would never leave him; it would be his way of appreciating life, “the fun way.” He would share this vision with his brothers. They would create rock groups around the world, wherever their parents took them, from New York to Beirut, from the Philippines to Switzerland to Japan.
When questioned on his influences, this singer/songwriter brings up the Beach Boys and the Beatles, the classical music of Bach, Mozart and Beethoven, and more recent groups such as Interpol and The Strokes. But Rover’s inspiration does not just come from the world of music- far from it. He also mentions painting and French literature, and above all, encounters and life events, which are an endless source of inspiration for him. With the pronounced penchant for travel that his parents instilled in him, Rover has developed the ability to blend with other cultures without imposing himself on them. He sustains his own style through his encounters with other people and other places.
Rover, a roving romantic rocker… More to follow.
