Jin was born and raised in Miami. He burst into fame by winning seven-time the televised rap battle “Freestyle Friday”, the most-viewed and highest standard rap battle in America. MC Jin’s first single “Learn Chinese” was premiered on MTV CHI as the first video for the channel launch. Since then, Jin caught the attention of media, including a flattering profile in The New York Times (“Slim Shady, Watch It: Asian Rapper’s Got It”). Following the success of the single, Jin’s debut release “The Rest is History” was a smash hit, reaching 54th place on Billboard, and sold 26,000 in the inaugural week. Jin crosses over with many international giants such as Wang Leehom, Ne-Yo and Hip-Hop guru Kayne West. Jin’s freestyle rap footage is an internet smash which recorded uncountable clicks. His latest album “ABC Jin” is the first Cantonese Hip-Hop album released in the US, showcasing the artiste’s experience as an American Born Chinese.
