Hennessy Artistry’s star artist this year, Paloma Faith, has stormed the charts with her singles New York and Stone Cold Sober. The British vocalist’s debut album, released in the autumn, has received glowing reviews, and Paloma Faith, borrowing influences from the styles of the 1940s, has risen to become one of the prime faces in the British media and in fashion magazines. The artist’s name rose to fame earlier in the spring, when the release of her Stone Cold Sober single had to be advanced in Britain by four months, because British radio stations refused to withdraw it from the playlists. In Finland, the piece was one of the autumn's most heavily played songs on the radio. The album’s second single chart-topper, New York, has taken off like a rocket on Europe’s music charts. The piece has been on Finland’s iTunes list and Top 10 singles chart for a long time and at the moment is in the number 8 position. The next single to be released is the album's title song, Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful, which will be delivered for radio play within a few weeks – it is already available in digital format.
The Artistry event will be hosted by musician/VJ Axl Smith, who is familiar to MTV viewers. The Scottish DJ trio, Scratch Perverts, will also provide entertainment during the evening.
