By combining her natural beauty and contagious personality with her extreme talent, Sky Nellor is one individual that proves it’s all in the mix. In music, Sky captivates the crowd, ruling the turn-tables at some of the world’s most exclusive parties. In fashion, Sky successfully maintains her status as one of modeling’s elite, continually photographed on the red carpet and in high profile fashion campaigns. And now, ith her sex appeal, confidence, and charisma in tow, Sky Nellor commands her presence on air as a major up and coming television personality.
Originally discovered in her homeland of Australia, Sky was soon photographed for top international magazines, including the covers of Spanish Vogue and Amica. After shooting the widely coveted Guess campaign, Sky traveled the world modeling and nurturing her appreciation for cultural diversity and music. Influenced by such
legends as Aretha Franklin, Blondie, Al Green, Rick James, and Prince, Sky started to blend her travels with her inspiration. Back in the US, fueled by this passion and acting on a dare from a friend, Sky spontaneously jumped behind the turn-tables at a club to spin her favorite tunes. The crowd was floored and thus “DJ” Sky Nellor was born.
Shortly thereafter, with her popularity spreading through positive word of mouth, Sky started spinning at some of the most glamorous fashion, entertainment, and music industry events in the US. She became a fixture at soirees for Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, and Vanity Fair. Inventive and energetic, Sky was pleasing the crowds while controlling the ebb and flow of the party, mixing musical genres like rock, hip-hop, funk, soul, and 80’s classics.
Today her clientele ranges from Diddy to Playboy, Outkast to ESPN, with President Bill Clinton filling out the in-between. Most recently in 2007, Sky Nellor performed at Maxim’s 10 Year anniversary celebration and 50 Cent’s album release party on the same night in Vegas, the launch party for E! Entertainment in Canada, Entertainment
Weekly’s NYC Fashion Week Soiree, Club Monaco’s launch in Hong Kong, the opening of Cain Beach in the Bahamas, the opening of the Tao Beach club in Vegas, Atlanta Peach Magazine’s anniversary celebration with Big Boi, E!’s party at the Playboy Mansion, Timberland’s Grammy party in Los Angeles, ESPN and Jeff Gordon’s Super bowl parties in Miami Beach, a Belvedere Vodka event with Jamie Foxx in NYC, Michael Jordan’s annual soiree in the Bahamas, and at Sapporo’s New Year’s Eve Party, hosted by Victoria’s Secret Angel, Sileta Ebanks. In 2006, she performed at Fergie’s album release parties in Atlantic City and NYC, Missy Elliott and Ciara’s VMA party at Cipriani’s, and the Hennessy Artistry tour with Sleepy Brown, Robin Thicke, DJ AM, Juliette & The Licks, and David Tao. Sky also spun at Missy Elliot’s Grammy party at Mood in Los Angeles, and Playboy Magazine’s Super bowl
party with Kanye West in Detroit. Nellor rocked the Black Eyed Peas’ European VMA after-party, Entertainment Weekly’s 2005 pre-Emmy party in Los Angeles and Missy Elliot’s 2005 VMA party in Miami. In 2005, Sky also spun both the World Music Awards’ after-party and Kanye West’s Billboard Music Awards party in Vegas. One of her most notable performances remains the Giorgio Armani / Vanity Fair Walk Of Fame Event where she performed onstage with Outkast for over 3 hours. There, with Sky Nellor providing the soundtrack, Giorgio Armani was awarded the first ever Hollywood Star presented to a fashion designer.
These days sky can be seen, heard, and experienced at an array of exclusive hot spots in NYC (Mansion, Pink Elephant, Cain, Marquee, Bungalow 8, Tenjune, The Plumm, PM, Cielo and Scores). Miami (Mansion, Prive, Suite, Ink, Snatch, Sagamore, Sky Bar), Vegas (Pure, Tao, Body English, The Palms, Tabu, Tangerine, Jet), Reno
(Niki Beach), Atlantic City (Mur Mur, Mixx), Chicago (The Underground, Krem), Los Angeles, Montreal (Buona Notte), Toronto (Century Room). Shanghai, Malaysia, Spain, London, Dublin, Brazil, Australia, France, Italy, And Ibiza. She recently concluded her residency at Jay-Z’s 40/40 club in NYC. Over the last few years, Sky hosted and music supervised NBC‘s “Hip Hop On Ice” with Tara Lipinski, an internationally televised event. Sky has also hosted segments for Russell Simmons’ One World Music Beat, VH1’ S Cover Wars with Paul Schaeffer, and has made numerous appearances on MTV, E!, And even reported the entertainment news for KTLA in Los Angeles, covering celebrity and red carpet events.
