Turning Anna Lunoe's long list of achievements into a coherent opening sentence is no easy task. Neither is crafting a bangin' set out of thousands of soul, disco, hip-hop, house, baltimore, party, dancehall and electro tunes. But Anna Lunoe manages to make that sort of stage-magic happen every time she gets behind the decks. She has earnt herself a reputation as one of one of Sydney's, scratch that-, Australia's best female, nah scratch that-, ONE OF AUSTRALIA'S BEST AND RESPECTED GENDER NON-SPECIFIC DJ's! It all started in 2006, where Anna found herself living in New York City on a mission to learn the precise science of 'getting the party started'. Since returning home, she has made a career of doing just that and is regularly called upon to ready the stage for the likes of Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Chromeo, A-Trak, Dizzee Rascal, Diplo, Switch, Spankrock, and Soulwax. "…But what I really want to do is to play with M.I.A", said Anna, literally moments before she was selected for the unique personal and professional honour of opening M.I.A's explosive Sydney show. 2008 has seen DJ Anna Lunoe reaching incredibly varied audiences cementing her reputation as being both a versatile and respected performer; travelling all over Australia, Europe and UK as tour DJ for The Bumblebeez, playing every major Australian music festival, providing entertainment at the most exclusive corporate functions and fashion events, playing in a different Australian city on any given night and jetting throughout Asia to headline several very special solo shows. 2009 brings new challenges, although she is still having inappropriate amounts of fun behind the decks as part of Sydney DJ posse ‘Hoops’ and can be found getting up to mischief with Kato every Thursday night on 94.5 FBi as the co-host of dance music program 'Sunsets', she is also touring the USA in May/June not to mention Djing AND Hosting the 2009 Bacardi Train Tour featuring Groove Armada, Van She and the Lost Valentinos!
