Under the patronage of HE Mr Yvon Roe d’Albert, Ambassador of France in Ireland, the French Trade Advisors in Ireland (CCEF) and its president Xavier de Bustos, the Association des Amis de la France en Irlande (AFI), with the support of The Ireland France Fund organized a unique Les annees Folles - Moulin Rouge Themed Gala Dinner to celebrate Bastille Day at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire, on the 10th July 2009.
Guests enjoyed a very unique Hennessy Cocktail and Champagne reception with gouaille singer, CANCAN dancers and a unique orgue de Barbarie, an amazing 6 course gastronomic dinner with exceptional French wines and all night long entertainments with the internationally acclaimed ‘la Troupe de Mademoiselle Clairette’ and their vibrant Moulin Rouge style show and French CanCan… Then danced away with the Camembert Quartet and their celebrated cheesy music!
