Lena Park (Park Jung-hyun) is a Korean American R&B singer. Park showed a talent for singing early in life, mainly in the choir of her father's church in Downey. Here she also learned to play saxophone and piano. As of June 2007, Park has released eight Korean albums, two Korean singles, three Japanese albums and seven Japanese singles. Park's first album, Piece, generated sales of more than 500,000 while her subsequent releases have gained widespread success. In 2002, her song "Kkum-e" (In a Dream) was such a big hit it propelled Park to international success. Park was selected to represent Korea in the opening and closing ceremony of the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Not content with just singing, Park in recent years has also shown talent behind the microphone, becoming increasingly involved with the production and creative work of her albums – helping with arrangements, composing songs and playing piano. Her 6th Korean album, Come To Where I Am, was released on December 11, 2007, in which all songs were written and produced by Lena herself.
