Taiwanese singer A-Mei is the Asian super diva who has created many number-one hits in Taiwan and mainland China. She is well known for her aboriginal Taiwanese roots, and resonated well with audience across all age and regions in Taiwan. She is the first female Asian singer interviewed by CNN and made the cover of TIME Magazine in Asia. She told Geoff Burpee in Billboard, "My mother sings, my sisters sing, my father used to sing. It's a family thing. It's really something that we do together with our tribe, something important in our culture." She has sold over 10 million albums in Taiwan and over 45 million across Asia.
