Located in the eastern part of the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kinshasa has reclaimed its status as a vibrant center for urban culture, sport and socializing thanks to a revitalized court painted by the artist Eliam Mupipi as a tribute to African colors, shapes and energy — and a love of the game.

Urban Culture Meets Cognac

On October 4th, the renovated 2,000-seat center opened in the presence of basketball legend Joakim Noah, with a slam-dunk competition organized by the NBA, and performances by DJ Sizhols and DJ Kev to celebrate sports, movement, music, and the unique cultural heritage of the DRC.
