For the 4th year in a row, Hennessy partnered with Pratt Institute to create the Wild Rabbit Design Challenge — a competition for Pratt graduate art students from multiple disciplines to create artworks that express what motivates them to realize their highest potential through an original artistic interpretation of the Hennessy mantra: “Never stop. Never settle.” On November 4th, Hennessy hosted the opening of “Project Wild Rabbit: Gallery 24” a pop-up gallery and event that showcased original artwork from this year’s 15 talented participants, and recognized the 2015 Wild Rabbit Design Challenge winner, Christiana Theophanopoulos. Theophanopoulos’ work was selected for the award by an esteemed judging panel that included Wild Rabbit icon and hip-hop legend Nas, and world-renown artists Shepard Fairey, Ryan McGinness, and Futura. Her winning artwork, entitled Meraki, is based on the Greek word that translates, “doing something with passion and soul.” In a unique format befitting the innovative talent display, the event stretched over 24 consecutive hours, treating visitors to a celebratory atmosphere throughout the night and the next day. Hennessy is proud of our continuing relationship with Pratt institute and all the artists that have participated — the latest in Hennessy’s lasting commitment to artistic excellence that has endured over 250 years.
