For the second year running, GQ magazine’s prestigious Men of The Year Awards took place. In association with Hennessy V.S.O.P, it honours the inspiring men and women who shape Africa’s cultural landscape each year. Artists, activists and humanitarians. Innovators, designers, comedians and entrepreneurs. What do the exceptional winners have in common? They don’t just walk the walk. They live in action. That is what the awards celebrate, the vanguards leading the way in South Africa and Africa.

The illustrious Hennessy VSOP Lifetime Achievement Award went to South African businessman and Kaizer Chiefs founder, Kaizer Motaung honouring the vital role he has played in advancing soccer in S.A. Pascal Asin, Managing Director of Moët Hennessy for Africa and the Middle East explains, “The award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to South African sport over the last 50 years and who continues to be dedicated to the progression of the industry. We are honoured to have been able to present this to an exceptional individual who continues to play a vital role in South African soccer.”
