Immerse yourself in a world of excellence and discover how Hennessy X.O – a multifaceted blend Maurice Hennessy first created in 1870 for his innermost circle – evolved into our most iconic cognac.
A privilege reserved for Hennessy guests, you will start your visit by embarking on a solar-powered boat for a brief crossing of the Charente River — which played an essential part in the development of the town.
Your visit starts in the Faïencerie cellar. There, in the half-light, alignments of hundreds of barrels speak to a mystique that goes back centuries. The wood of the barrels is always hand-calligraphed with chalk to indicate the year of harvest and provenance of the eaux-de-vie.
Discover the art of blending and ageing eaux-de-vie, and the natural phenomenon known as the "angels' share".
Next, get a rare opportunity to visit the prestigious "Paradis" cellar — a repository for some of Maison Hennessy's oldest eaux-de-vie, usually inaccessible to visitors.
Your visit includes a mesmerizing virtual reality experience: MOBILIS, a 19-mn odyssey blending poetry with cutting-edge technology. Inspired by sketches doodled by founder Richard Hennessy, French artists Olivier Kuntzel & Florence Deygas have woven a one-of-a-kind voyage that unveils the history and the DNA of Maison Hennessy.
The creation of this harmonious blend of visuals, sounds, and sensations required 2 years of work and the talent of 50 creative contributors.
MOBILIS was voted 'Best Innovation' at the 2024 Wine Tourism Awards and 2025 'Best of Wine Tourism' awards in Bordeaux.
To conclude your experience, discover the Hennessy Tasting Committee's daily ritual – a pursuit of excellence unique to our Maison – and enjoy a guided tasting of our iconic Hennessy X.O served neat, on the rocks and in a cocktail, paired with two gourmet macarons.
Hennessy X.O is a multifaceted blend created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy from eaux-de-vie aged in young barrels for a minimum of 10 years. Candied fruit and strong spicy notes tantalize the palate, intertwined with the rich flavor of dark chocolate and the ebb and flow of oak notes interlaced with vanilla.

PLEASE NOTE:
This visit is fully accessible to visitors with special access needs. A "Mobility Inclusion" reduced ticket rate is available for them and a guest, bookable online or by email directly with our team.

For health and safety reasons, the use of virtual reality headsets is reserved to visitors aged 12 and above. Please note that exposure to virtual reality can disrupt the sensory system and may lead to various mild symptoms (such as nausea or vertigo) that wear off quickly. The use of these technologies is not recommended for people who suffer from epileptic seizures or sensitive people (eg pregnant women or people prone to panic attacks).
Alternative activities are available for visitors not participating in the VR experience. Please note that children under 12 will need ot be accompanied by an adult in the non-player area.
