Knowledge, transmission and savoir-faire are very crucial notions in the work of Burçak Bingol, this one of the reason she was so interested in this collaboration with Hennessy X.O. Adding flowers on the top of the ceramic highlights the sweet notes of Hennessy X.O cognac, and refers to beauty, lightness and ephemerality.

Equilibrium,

Rocko Iremashvili – Tbilisi, Georgia

Rocko Iremashvili, painter and sculptor presents Equilibrium. This sculpture represents two men, symbol of Hennessy and Fillioux dynasties, and a circle, symbol of the transmission of savoir-faire through eight generations. The shape of the two bodies interacting creates a «X», which still an enigmatic figure, while the circle which also is the letter «O» stands for eternity connecting the two balanced figures. The combination reveals the «XO» initials.

Look deeper,

Rashad Alakbarov – Baku, Azerbaijan

Rashad Alakbarov, visual artist, presents Look Deeper. The artist has created five stones reminding the Assyrian reliefs, introducing time to time references to Hennessy X.O with contemporary elements. Hennessy X.O is distilled in copper tubes and through this crucial transformation process the eaux-de-vies turn into Cognac. The installation is an allegory to the sensation of explosion of flavours in the mouth with one drop of Hennessy X.O.

Filling the void,

Askhat Akhmedyarov – Astana, Kazakhstan

Askhat Akhmedyarov, conceptual artist, performer and sculptor presents the piece: Filling The Void. The artist has decided to enlarge the Hennessy X.O carafe. Creating this gigantic bottle was a challenge. During weeks, he went back and forth in the steppe trees forest and brought back wood branches, that he fixed on a metal structure. The flowers and fabrics are a symbol of the sensation you get when you open a bottle of Hennessy X.O, the smell rest surrounds you, and after the flavours explode in the mouth. The artist has replaced the glass bottle of Hennessy X.O with a model of a smooth growing tree.

Mystery of the place,

Vyacheslav Useinov – Tashkent, Uzbekistan

Vyacheslav Useinov, weaver and sculptor, presents: Mystery of the place, inspired by the Wood Crunches of XO. Using more than 200 wood sticks that were cut by the artist in some carpenters’ workshop in Tashkent, this gigantic installation is built as a labyrinth with no specific entry. The different paths are like the Hennessy X.O chapters of the taste experience. One by one they seem simple, but combining them all, you achieve a monument.

Black cabinet,

Victor Syrnev – Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

Victor Syrnev, jewellery maker, has created a mental landscape made of precious stones, gold, metal, and grey pearls, presented as a little window. All the components of the Hennessy X.O Odyssey are floating: grape vine, oak barrels, fire and sparks, working tools, tas¬ting glasses, distillation apparatuses, dis¬tillation units and elegant copper tubes, measuring instruments and carpentry tools turned into mysterious precious objects ... Only human brain can mix all these components to create a liquid such as Hennessy X.O and offer this experience.

7,

Yin Xiuzhen – Beijing, China

Yin Xiuzhen, visual artist, presents the piece 7. For the artist, seven is a magical figure. The data suggests that seven hours is the ideal sleeping time for human beings every day. In the PH test, 7 represents the PH value of pure water. People have seven emotions - joy, anger, sorrow, thought, sadness, fear and surprise. The spectrum has seven colours - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. She got the inspiration of «the taste of vision» from the seven chapters of Hennessy X.O. Thus, she has created a sculpture of seven towers, reinvented through inspirations from the seven countries on the Silk Road.
